Pyroligneous Acid is the liquid extracted from smoke during the process resultant in charcoal. It has been used as a folk remedy to work on bacterial elimination, anti-inflammation and anti-pruriasis. Nowadays it is used for cosmetics, in food processing and in bath salts because of its effectiveness and safeness. It is also used in deodorizers due to its anti-perspirant effect. It contains a natural organic component; particularly important is acetic acid. Acetic Acid makes it easier to peel the dead skin off with a high sterilizing power. It is also used in medicines such as those used to treat dermatitis.
